Steeped in tradition, Perth hosted its very first International Great Waiters Race in 2014, joining a long list of cities worldwide that have hosted this event, which pays tribute to the city’s waiters. This exceptional event is organised by the Rotary Club of West Perth with the aim to raise funds for local Charities.
Our purpose is to help the families and carers of children with special needs and disability to ‘carry the load’ by providing practical information and emotional support as well as connecting them to services and other families in similar situations. In addition Kalparrin offers a highly regarded program of events and respite programs for all members of our families.
We take our name from an Aboriginal word meaning “help carry the load” we are based at Princess Margaret Hospita
Ngala is Western Australia’s leading non-government provider of Early Parenting and Early Childhood services, with a focus on families with children aged 0-5 years. With 124 years of service to the Community, Ngala has a passion for supporting families and young children through the journey of parenting and is widely respected for its knowledge and evidence-based approach to child development and family support services, as well as community engagement work.
Ngala makes contact with about 40,000 families with babies and young children each year through a range of services that provide information, education, family support and early learning and development services, through to therapeutic, individual and family group sessions, including those where children are at risk.
